Ukraine is a very responsible country in terms of food security. This was emphasized by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk in an interview with
Volkskrant.
The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament noted that the country has survived the Holodomor for 90 years. Ukrainians understand very well what famine is, which is why they do not want to allow it in any other country.
"Since the first day of the war, Ukraine has loudly stated that it is important for us to export grain," said Ruslan Stefanchuk, adding that, according to various estimates, between 50 and 400 million people are at risk of starvation without Ukrainian grain.
Ruslan Stefanchuk also stressed that there are several ways to resolve the issue of blocked ports in Ukraine.
First, it can be done using European routes - Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and their ports.
Secondly, by organizing business and humanitarian missions through neighboring countries.
Third, by ensuring the possibility of unblocking Ukrainian ports under escort and guarantees of a particular country or international organization.
