On June 1-3, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, will pay a visit to the Federal Republic of Germany

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, is going on a working trip to the European Union to gain support for granting Ukraine the status of a candidate country for EU membership.

"I will do my best to find the right key to the door of the common European home. I want Ukraine to become one of its equals. I am confident that Germany’s support for Ukraine’s decision to become a candidate for EU membership will further unite our states and peoples,” Ruslan Stefanchuk wrote on his Facebook page.

The visit program includes meetings of the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine with dignitaries of the Federal Republic of Germany, including the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, the President of the German Bundestag Barbel Bas, and others.
