The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted as a Basis the Bill of the Law on Amendments to the Law "On Protection of the Animals from the Cruel Treatment" (re the Specification of the Norms and Terms)

The Bill (Reg.№1264) envisages the amendments and additions to the effective law concerning the broadening of the term "cruel treatment with the animals". It envisages the improvement of the principle concerning the kind treatment with the animals in farming, sport, scientific experiments etc and liability for the violations of these norms.
