Ukraine is grateful for the support of all of Ukraine's constitutional initiatives on its path to EU and NATO integration, which is a good example for other countries. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized this during the meeting with Vice Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Ryszard Terletsky.

Ruslan Stefanchuk received a Resolution of the Seimas of the Republic of Poland on the call to the member states of the NATO and the EU to support Ukraine in the face of aggression by the Russian Federation.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted Poland's clear position in the international arena, which it expresses in order to consolidate the efforts of the international community in support of Ukraine.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine called the Resolution adopted by the Polish Sejm in support of Ukraine, in particular, on its European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, especially important for Ukraine. Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed that while Ukraine is not a member of NATO, only a strong Ukrainian army is the key to the security of our country.

“I am very grateful to Poland for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for military and humanitarian aid,” he said.

The Speaker expressed hope that Poland`s support for Ukraine`s integration path into the EU and NATO would continue in the future, in particular during the presidency of the Republic of Poland in the EU Council in 2025 and during the next NATO summit in Madrid.

Ruslan Stefanchuk assured of support for all the platforms between the parliaments of Poland and Ukraine, including the IPA Ukraine-Republic of Poland, as well as the development of parliamentary friendship groups.

Separately, the Speaker drew attention to the importance of parliamentary support for the Crimea Platform.

In turn, Ryszard Terletsky stressed that the people of Poland are in solidarity with Ukraine. “We have come to show our solidarity with Ukraine and to make it clear to the whole of Europe that a free, sovereign, independent Ukraine from Russia is in the national interest of Poland and the whole of Europe,” he said during the briefing.
