PLENARY MEETINGS OF THE FOURTH SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE OF THR SIXTH CONVOCATION WERE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, 24 JUNE
At the beginning of the morning meeting, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, informed the People´s Deputies about the results of work of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the plenary meetings on 23 June
Parliamentarians included to the agenda the b8ill of the Law on amendments to the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for the Year 2009"
Mykhailo Volynets , the People´s Deputy introduced the Bill of the Law "On Industrial Safety". The Bill defines legal, economic and organizational principles of provision of failure-free service of dangerous industrial objects in the process of economic activity. Implementation of the Bill should secure realization of legal policy oriented for the settlement of industrial safety matters
Co-reporter, the Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy, Valeriy Gatsko announced on the resolution of the Committee to adopt the Bill as a basis.
The People´s Deputies upheld the Bill in the first reading by 377 votes.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bills: "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Regulation of Licensing Procedures"(354 votes); "On Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding Activity of the Non-Profit Organizations".
As a result of scrutiny the parliamentarians directed for the further elaboration the Bill on Amendments to the article 7 of the Law "On Insurance" (re the compulsory insurance of tourists).
The Verkhovna Rada has rejected 5 Bills of the Laws.
The People´s Deputies have heard the Annual Report of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ombudsman regarding Observance and Protection of Human Rights and Liberties in Ukraine, N. Karpachova.
In the end of the report, N. Karpachova presented the taken by her from the National Archive of Sweden, the First Written Constitution of Ukraine, Constitution of Hetman Pylyp Orlyk "On Rights and Liberties of Zaporizhia Forces", year 1710.
N. Karpachova answered on the People´s Deputies´ questions.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Draft Resolution "On the Annual Report of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ombudsman regarding Observance and Protection of Human Rights and Liberties in Ukraine".The People´s Deputies have consideration that annual report on the state of accordance and rights and liberties of people protection in Ukraine, represented by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ombudsman, N. Karpachova.
According to the Resolution, the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should scrutinize introduced by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ombudsman propositions concerning the improvement of the systems of laws of Ukraine on the issues of the human rights protection.
The Chairman announced the end of the plenary meeting.
The next plenary meeting will be held on 25 of June.
