The Law envisages that the decision on the placement of the territories of the administrative-territorial unities of the nuclear equipment and objects for the nuclear wastes of state importance is adopted by the local executive bodies or the local-self-governing bodies. If the referendum takes place in such regions, according to the Law "On State and Local Referendums", the result of it is taken into the consideration as well.
