Mykola Tomenko: It is necessary to exert every Effort to prevent Formation of Two Football Leagues in Ukraine
"The conflicts between the owners of football clubs and the Football Federation have reached a threatening limit and may not only grow into the confrontation between the businessmen, but create image problems concerning acceptance of Ukraine as the State capable of governing football sphere and providing adequate level of preparation for EURO-2012", - commented Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, on the discussion between the representatives of the Premier League and the Football Federation.
M.Tomenko believes that any monopolization, either in politics, or in business, is dangerous; therefore, he strongly objects to the monopolization of the football business in Ukraine.
"I am convinced that formation of two football leagues will be prevented under conditions of the current complicated discussion regarding the future of Ukrainian football", - stated the Vice-Chairman.
