Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declares that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will exert every effort to provide for the predictable development of Ukraine and its readiness for the dialogue with the European partners. He made the above-mentioned statement at the meeting with Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Radoslaw Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland
Within this scope, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed the importance to understand common responsibility of the President, the Government and The Verkhovna Rada. He deems necessary "not to block the adoption of necessary resolutions in the economic sector", to pass the resolution concerning the date of presidential elections and secure transparency of the election campaign.
According to Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the experience testifies of the fact that it is possible to overcome the economic crisis by means of political initiatives. "I believe such initiatives should be implemented, and the Parliament should be of crucial importance", - he stated.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs are willing to study the situation and verify the possibility of cooperation between the political forces, institutions and governmental agencies concerning observance of requirements of the international institutions, especially the International Monetary Fund.
After the meeting, V.Lytvyn stated that the conversation appertained to the general approaches to the stability and predictability of Ukraine.
He stressed that "the arguments of the interlocutors were aimed at clever, reasonable and responsible people".
