Ruslan Stefanchuk and Katarina Mathernova discuss deepening EU-Ukraine integration

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with Head of the Support Group of Ukraine in the European Commission, Deputy Director General of the European Commission's Directorate General for European Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Katarina Mathernova.
The participants of the meeting discussed the assessment of the achievement of the goals of the Association Agreement, the agenda of the dialogue between Ukraine and the EU, as well as urgent issues for Ukraine on the quality of Ukrainian legislation, security, countering COVID-19, and land and judicial reforms.
"Ukraine is confidently moving towards European integration.  We pay more and more attention to inter-parliamentary cooperation with our partners, we initiate consideration of priority issues concerning Ukraine's integration into the EU. We form a common vision of the process of implementation of the Agreement at the level of the Parliament and the Government of Ukraine to ensure more effective implementation of the goals set by the Association Agreement and promote Ukraine's European aspirations," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Katarina Mathernova testified to Ukraine's commitment to further political association and economic integration with the EU, as well as her unwavering support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
