Chairperson
of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov met with President of
the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil.
"We
appreciate that the Czech Republic was represented on the Crimea
Platform in your person at such a high level. I hope that cooperation in
this arena will be continued in the direction of deoccupation of Crimea
and in the parliamentary dimension, which we actually started
yesterday," Dmytro Razumkov said.
The Speaker of the Ukrainian
Parliament expressed gratitude for the Czech Republic's position on
Ukraine's territorial integrity.
"I am confident that we have many
common issues that we will be able to implement," he said, adding that
he, as the Speaker of Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are
willing to cooperate.
Milos Vystrcil and Dmytro Razumkov spoke in
favor of strengthening cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
and both Chambers of the Czech Parliament.
The parties also
discussed issues of assistance from the representatives of the
Parliaments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic to business cooperation
between the two countries.
The Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine noted the growth of trade between the two countries and stressed
the need for investment exchange.
Dmytro Razumkov noted that the
Ukrainian Parliament has already adopted a number of laws and continues
to work on creating conditions for attracting investment to Ukraine.
Among the priorities along this way, he noted the judicial reform.
In
addition, the parties discussed the fight against the coronavirus
pandemic. The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked the Czech
Republic for the support it had given Ukraine in the fight against
COVID-19.
