The work of the Crimea Platform at the Parliamentary, Presidential and Governmental levels will help achieve a common goal - the deoccupation of the peninsula. This was stated by Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov during his speech at the extraordinary session of the Parliament.
"The Crimea Platform, which is starting its work, should have three components. It will not work without any of them. These are the Parliamentary, Presidential and Governmental dimensions. Only by such joint efforts we will be able to achieve the result we all strive for both in this plenary session hall and outside it and in all civilized countries of the world that know what the rule of law is, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," said the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada.
Dmitry Razumkov expressed gratitude to foreign partners present at the sitting of the Parliament for participation in the work of the Crimea Platform.
"I hope that in some time there will be more representatives of parliaments in this lodge, because we plan to conduct a permanent dialogue within the Crimea Platform in the parliamentary dimension. That is why today, at the request of people's deputies, we have gathered here to adopt the Resolution," he said.
The Parliament adopted the Resolution "On the Address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the United Nations, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly, the European Parliament, Governments and Parliaments of Foreign States on Strengthening International Cooperation within the Crimea Platform to Counteract the Aggression of the Russian Federation" (No. 5775).
"This is the start of a great cause. And this case will end in victory," Dmytro Razumkov stressed.
