The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada signed the laws necessary for Ukraine to implement judicial reform

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine signed the Law of Ukraine “On Amending the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges’ and Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Activities of the Supreme Court of Ukraine and Judicial Self-Government Bodies” (No. 3711-d). The purpose of the Law is to bring the provisions of the legislation of Ukraine in line with the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine of February 18, 2020 No. 2-r/2020 and March 11, 2020 No. 4-r/2020, resumption of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine, improvement of its formation and activities.
The Speaker of the Parliament also signed the Law of Ukraine “On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Procedure for the Election (Appointment) of Members of the High Council of Justice and the Activities of Disciplinary Inspectors of the Higher Council of Justice” (No. 5068). The purpose of the proposed changes is to improve the procedure for election to the positions of members of the High Council of Justice, taking into account the implementation of the rule of law, ensuring compliance of candidates with the criteria of professional ethics and integrity.
Dmytro Razumkov also signed the Law of Ukraine No. 5069 "On Amendments to Articles 188-32 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses to Establish Liability for Failure to Comply with the Legal Requirements of the Disciplinary Inspector of the High Council of Justice".
The draft law proposes to establish administrative liability for non-compliance with the legal requirements of the disciplinary inspector of the High Council of Justice for the effective exercise of its powers.
The proposed amendments to Article 188-32 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine are stipulated by the draft Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Procedure for Election (Appointment) to the Positions of Members of the High Council of Justice and Activities of Disciplinary Inspectors of the High Council of Justice", which, in particular, determines the powers of the disciplinary inspector of the High Council of Justice.
The legislative initiatives was submitted for signature to the President of Ukraine.
