The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider a number of legislative initiatives that block the implementation of judicial reform. This was stated by Speaker of the Parliament  Dmytro Razumkov. "On the agenda are draft resolutions blocking the signing of laws in the field of judicial reform," he said.
According to Dmytro Razumkov, due to the registered draft resolutions there is currently no possibility to sign laws: "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Procedure for Election (Appointment) to the Positions of Members of the High Council of Justice and Activities of Disciplinary Inspectors of the High Council of Justice" (No. 5068) and "On Amendments to Articles 188-32 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses to Establish Liability for Failure to Comply with the Legal Requirements of the Disciplinary Inspector of the High Council of Justice" (No. 5069). Also without the signature of the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada is the Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine -On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges' and Certain laws of Ukraine on the resumption of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine" (No. 3711-d).
The Speaker of the Parliament is convinced that the Resolutions aimed at repealing the laws passed last week will not be supported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
