The Members of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations met the Delegation of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany headed by Jochen-Konrad Fromme, Deputy of the Christian Democratic Union-Christian Social Union

Yu.Hnatkevych, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on the Victims of Political Repressions, Ethical Policy, National Conflicts, Refugees, Migration and Liaison with the Ukrainians who reside Abroad, informed the guests about the law-making activity of the Committee aimed at comprehensive protection of human rights, as well as about the legislation in this field adopted by The Verkhovna Rada lately.

 

The German Party was especially interested in the settlement of language issues, participation of the representatives on national minorities in the Parliament´s work and relations between different confessions. On behalf of the members of the delegation, Jochen-Konrad Fromme expressed his gratitude for the information and expressed his certainty that similar meetings would facilitate cooperation between the Parliaments of both countries.  

 

Anita Schäfer, Deputy of the Christian Democratic Union-Christian Social Union of the Bundestag, other officials also took part in the meeting.
