On this holiday, the special words of gratitude are sent to those who have chosen the way of relentless search, moral anxiety, yearning for the truth owing to the call of their heart. It is your inspiring work that forms information diversity and essence of the media; it is you who reveals the importance of events and phenomena to the society, who helps the human community to understand the problems and hardships of the present day.
The occupation of the journalist differs from all the others not only by its social significance, but also by its indispensable creative constituent. Being in the know of the cost of word and pen, I always notice and respect journalists successes, creative findings, publications-discoveries. I read articles, essays, investigations with delight.
However, you are also the leading annalists of the present, the co-creators of the modern history of Ukraine. I believe that its pages will be carved by the lines written by talented, thorough, decent and honest people who are concerned about the near and distant future of Ukraine.
Passionate patriotism, creative anxiety, insatiable yearning for the truth are those elements that constitute professional journalism.
I sincerely wish you strength and courage in the defence of your principles, inspiration and creative findings, independent stand irregardless of any conditions and authorities.
