On Thursday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met the representatives of three rental coal-mining enterprises of Donetsk region: rental State JSC "V.Chapayev Shakhtoupravliannia", "Mine "Zhdanivska" CJSC, and "Mine "Svitanok" LLC, which have been picketing the Cabinet of Ministers since 2 June.
The participants of the meeting discussed the situation due to the refusal of "Vuhillia Ukrainy" State enterprise to accept the coal extracted by the non-governmental coal-mines not subordinate to the Ministry of Coal-Mining Industry. The participants of the meeting deems necessary to eliminate discriminatory approach to the purchase of the extracted coal and balance the rights of the private and State coal mines.
The leader of the Ukrainian Parliament suggested that a joint resolution of The Verkhovna Rada be drafted with due account taken of the proposals expressed at the meeting.
According to V.Lytvyn, such a document shall clearly define the tasks to be fulfilled by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to regulate the situation with the sale of coal extracted by private coal-mining enterprises.
