Dmytro Razumkov, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is convinced that both the state and churches and religious organizations should look for points of unification for Ukrainian society. He said this during the solemn meeting of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Organization.
"The task of both the state and the church is to find common ground and unite efforts and people," Dmytro Razumkov said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the priority challenges facing Ukraine now are the war and the COVID-19 pandemic. "We passed, we persevered. And today we must continue to look for points that will unite society," he said.
Dmitry Razumkov also expressed hope for the help of churches and religious organizations in this matter.
"There are many things that make us different and can divide us. But it is necessary to work together to find those compromises, achievements, unifying moments that will help make Ukraine develop, prosper and be a model of understanding and moving forward," said the Speaker of the Parliament.
