The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is willing to extend Ukrainian-Korean Relations - Volodymyr Lytvyn

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has a positive attitude towards the Korean nation and "is willing to extend Ukrainian-Korean relations". Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made the above-mentioned statement on Monday, meeting Pak Ro Byok, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine.  

 

The leader of the Ukrainian Parliament expressed his hope that "there will be a possibility to establish cooperation not only at the level of Parliaments, but also in the fields of education, science, economy and development of technologies". "Notwithstanding the distance, our relations have a great many aspects in common", - he stated. V.Lytvyn declared that Ukrainian Parliament would not postpone ratification of the bilateral documents appertaining to the further development of cooperation.  

 

The Ambassador underscored that activity of parliamentary groups of friendship played an important role in the development of friendly relations both between the parliaments, and in other social fields. He reminded of the fact that almost forty students from Ukraine were annually participating in the programs of educational exchange. 

 

The Parties exchanged the invitations to visit the Parliaments of Korea and Ukraine in the suitable for the Speakers time.
