Mykola Tomenko: Non-Acceptance of the Team of Leonid Chernovetsky by Kyiv Residents has reached its Critical Point
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, supposes that non-acceptance of the team of Leonid Chernovetsky by Kyiv residents has reached its critical point.
According to the sociological survey conducted by "Ukrainske demokratychne kolo" agency on 21-27 May 2009, the majority of Kyiv residents (84,1%) fails to approve of the activity of Leonid Chernovetsky as Kyiv mayor. Only 7,5% of the respondents approve of the activity of acting mayor. More than 82,5% of Kyiv residents is of the opinion that the present-day situation in Kyiv develops in the wrong direction. Only 4,1% of the respondents are of the opinion that the situation develops in the right way. If the referendum concerning vote of non-confidence to Leonid Chernovetsky were held today, the majority of Kyiv residents (84,8%) would give him a vote of non-confidence. Only 7% of Kyiv residents would give the vote of confidence.
"The said survey testifies of the fact that Kyiv residents strongly recommend that the State leaders pay attention to the situation in the capital", - supposes the Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"The President of Ukraine should obviously suspend handout of orders and titles to the team of L. Chernovetsky, and suspend illegal and corruptive actions taken in Kyiv", - believes M.Tomenko.
"The Government should finally scrutinize the report of the leaders of Kyiv Municipal State Administration and suspend Kyiv´s sliding into the debtor´s prison", - stresses the Vice-Chairman.
