Within the scope of the working visit, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, took part in the holiday of the Last School Bell in the secondary school of Popivka village (Konotopsky district of Sumy region) on 29 May 2009.

 

V.Lytvyn conveyed his greetings to the pupils, their parents and teachers on the occasion of the end of the school year, and congratulated the seniors on the graduation from school. "Today the graduates are overwhelmed with the feeling that can be described by one word finally. We have finally graduated from school, finally, we are adults, - stated V.Lytvyn, delivering his speech at the holiday. However, the teachers are sad another border, another farewell. The parents are worried whether their child will find its way in life".  

 

The leader of the Ukrainian Parliament wished the graduates to achieve success in life. He believes that children "should set high standards and believe that it can be reached".  "As a lecturer, head of the modern history department at Kyiv National University, I would recommend you to continue education at the higher education establishments, as knowledge, wisdom, professionalism are demanded in the society. Especially under the present-day conditions", - stressed V.Lytvyn.

 

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine presented the pupils with an interactive blackboard with a projector.
