Completion of the Nord Stream-2 gas transportation project poses a threat to both Ukraine and many other countries. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov during the consideration in the Parliament of the draft Resolution on the address to the US Congress regarding the sanctions pressure on the participants in the construction of the gas pipeline.
"Today, the Verkhovna Rada faces an important challenge - the struggle for our energy independence and security. And it will be difficult for Ukraine in this issue without international support," Dmytro Razumkov stressed
The MPs adopted the Resolution on the Address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the House of Representatives and the Senate of the 117th Convocation of the United States of America on Intensifying Efforts to Strengthen Ukraine's and Europe's Energy Security through General Sanctions on Nord Stream-2 Pipeline Construction.
"I am confident that other states will support this address on Nord Stream-2, which poses a political, economic and energy threat to many countries," he said.
