The Committee members scrutinized the Bills (Reg. No.No.2307, 2307-1) submitted by V.Rybak and O.Popov, People´s Deputies of Ukraine, and the Cabinet of Ministers.
The People´s Deputies stated that both Bills aimed at formation of a due legislative base to secure realization of citizens´ housing right. The Bills define legal, organizational and socio-economic principles of State policy in the housing sector, and regulate legal relations appertaining to origination, implementation and suspension of the housing property right.
According to the Committee members, "the draft Housing Code shall become a basic legislative act in the housing sector to determine the strategy of housing provision of Ukrainian citizens, maintenance and preservation of the housing stock".
According to the People´s Deputies, the Bill submitted by the Government fully complies with the above-mentioned requirements, defines necessary legal concepts, and secures regulation of legal relations in the said field.
