The Bill (Reg. No.4332) enhances civil and legal responsibility for moral damage inflicted by the distribution of deliberate lies concerning an individual or a legal entity.
The Bill introduces amendments to Article 23 of the Civil Code and states that humiliation of honour and dignity of an individual and professional reputation of an individual or a legal entity can be caused by the distribution of deliberate lies.
The Bill also envisages that financial status of a person who inflicted moral damage shall be taken into account while assessing the amount of compensation.
