Volodymyr Lytvyn accepts the Perspectives of the Program "Eastern Partnership" subject to the Countries-Participants preserve their Right to Gain the Full Membership in EU
Volodymyr Lytvyn took part in the meeting of the representatives of the profile committees of the countries potential participants of the Parliamentary Assembly "Southern Partnership" that was held under the Chairmanship of the Chairman of the Committee on European Integration, B. Tarasiuk.
"European vector of the development of Ukraine is the consolidating for the Ukrainian Parliament, for the Ukrainian political powers", V. Lytvyn stressed in his speech, stressing that the project "Eastern Partnership" is not directed against somebody and is initiated for the countries to declare their European vector and gives the opportunity to strengthen the cooperation between European bodies.
"WE are for the differentiated approach to the countries´ that are aimed at the European integration. If we have the consolidated position concerning many issues we will be able to act with cumulative effect", the Leader of the Ukrainian Parliament declared. According to him countries-participants of the southern partnership should use the possibilities of their collective position and opinion concerning the variety of issues. "WE should demonstrate that we do have the position and without us this world that is more and more globalized would not have enough stability", the Chairmen o the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appealed to the representatives of the Parliaments of Moldova, Azerbaijan, Byelorussia, Georgia and Armenia.
Still, V. Lytvyn deems that the Program "Eastern Partnership" would be perspective if the right of the countries that are united by it, appeal for the membership in EU, would be realized.
