At its meeting, the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy considered the draft law No. 5153 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine to encourage the de-shadowing of incomes and increase the tax culture of citizens by introducing voluntary declaration of assets belonging to individuals and payment of a one-time fee to the budget. The draft law provides for the introduction of a tax amnesty for assets in order to de-shadow the economy of Ukraine.
According to Chairperson of the Committee Danylo Hetmantsev, the adoption of the bill will attract additional resources to the economy of Ukraine to intensify it and increase the tax culture of citizens.
The bill provides for a one-time (special) voluntary declaration of assets of individuals in the period from July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2022.
Following the discussion, the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy recommends the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt as a basis the draft law No. 5153 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine to encourage the de-shadowing of incomes and increase the tax culture of citizens by introducing voluntary declaration of assets belonging to individuals and payment of a one-time fee to the budget.
