Volodymyr Lytvyn: Preservation of Ukrainian People from the Physical Extinction and Moral Degradation should become the National Idea of the Country
"The state of medicine is not the issue to the discussed only by specialists. It should become the issue of the national, Ukrainian talk", - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared, opening the Parliamentary Hearings "The Ways of Reforming the health Protection Sphere and Medical Insurance in Ukraine".
Preservation of Ukrainian people from the physical extinction and moral degradation should become the national idea of the country. "It is exactly the formula we should stick to according to the chief principle of the constitution, that is human life and the health protection are the highest social value of the state", - the Chairman emphasized.
"Today we should discuss the facts that the world suffers the global crisis, the potential of the world is exhausted on the basis of those views and possibilities that existed before. Hence it is obvious that the world faces the transition into the new quality, I particular the new quality of the human life, - V. Lytvyn declared. When we speak about the demographic problem and about the facts that we dye out quickly, we face the clear problem how to continue the life of the People in Ukraine".
Medical field in Ukraine, system of health protection are kept today in neglected conditions despite all the sound propositions concerning the reformation of the sphere, V. Lytvyn stressed.
"On the contrary, - he emphasized, - medical workers as well as the scientific environment got used to the conditions they live in and work. They are not so reactive and consolidated as for example pedagogue or the workers of the other spheres. It is probably one of the reasons we are not able to enter the new level and the way of civilized development".
V. Lytvyn has pointed out the attention of the participants of the parliamentary hearings on the facts that despite the great number of the produced documentation, concepts, resolutions concerning the reforming of the medical sphere they remain not implemented on the practices: "WE hold the hearings, elaborate complex, nice, correct recommendations but it lacks the supervision for its implementation and practical application". Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed hope that the Committee on Health Protection would provide the necessary control for the implementation and realization of those resolutions that would be coordinated and adopted in the form of the corresponding acts of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as a result of these hearings.
