Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Chairman of the Federation Council of Russian Federation, Sergey Mironov declare the Intensification of Interparliamentary Part of Bilateral Relations
During the Meeting of Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Chairman of the Federation Council of Russian Federation, Sergey Mironov that was held in Sanin Petersburg in the course of the 32nd Meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of countries-participants of CIS it was stressed that o the necessity of new impulse of the cooperation on the bilateral level and in the format of interparliamentary associations as well.
In particular, S. Mironov was glad concerning "the start of interparliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Russia on new level of intensification". V. Lytvyn in his turn stressed on the necessity of the system approach to the development of interparliamentary bilateral relations.
The parties discussed the issue on preparation for the conference on European Security that is planed to be held on 13th of July of the current year.
During the conference according to the agreements the official visit of S. Mironov to Ukraine would be held.
Giving comments for the journalists, V. Lytvyn declared that Parties have discussed the results of the last meeting of Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Federation Council of Russian Federation. Moreover, according to him the register of the problems that need scrutiny in the course of preparation for the next meeting of the Commission.
V. Lytvyn and S. Mironov discussed number of issues on bilateral cooperation in economic sphere that needs legislative support.
The politicians exchanged thoughts concerning the political events in Ukraine and Russia.
