At the meeting, the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy completed its consideration of amendments to the draft Law “On the Principles of State Anti-Corruption Policy for 2020-2024” (No. 4135).
In total, during the preparation of the bill for the second reading, the MPs submitted more than 500 amendments, which were considered by the working group set up under the Committee.
In particular, the Committee took into account the amendments which stipulate that the draft law approves the State Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2021-2025.
The proposed strategy consists of four sections, with the first section devoted to the concept of formation of the State anti-corruption policy for the specified period and the mechanism of its implementation. The other sections of the document describe certain problems and the expected strategic results that need to be achieved to solve them.
The draft law approved by the Committee stipulates that the State Anti-Corruption Strategy will be implemented through the implementation of the "State Anti-Corruption Program for the Implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy".
The program will be developed by the NAPC and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. The NAPC will also coordinate the implementation of anti-corruption strategies and programs.
The Committee recommended to adopt the draft law in the second reading and in general, taking into account the technical and legal revisions.
