The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the position it occupies does not worth the Ukrainian people and does not correspond to the criteria by the scope of its work, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared on Tuesday from the Parliamentary tribune.
According to him more than 500 issues are waiting the scrutiny in session hall. Still even after one-week-blocking of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine work, any propositions concerning the continuation of the work do not meet the support. "Is it really so, when the combine operator, milkmaid, workers of plants or fabrics have not finished their work, they leave their working place and go home? Absolutely no, they are working", the Leader o the Ukrainian Parliament declared.
According to Volodymyr Lytvyn, "Posters against one another" People´s Deputies struggle not for the annihilation of the political competitors but the authority of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and country in the whole. "Notice, what reportages are prepared and shown about the processes in Ukraine! Verkhovna Rada is represented as the main destabilizing factor", he declared.
"I am dressing to the People´s Deputies, not to the leaders of the Factions. Dear colleagues, the Verkhovna Rada id to work until the year 2012, so let us work!. If it here constant threat of the pre-termed elections, you should appreciate that the majority of you will not be elected to the Verkhovna Rada. Are not you all cleaver people?! Why the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is not working? Why we always humiliate our country?".
Volodymyr Lytvyn suggested that the People´s Deputies should either adopt the Resolution concerning the work in the session hall during next week or resign.
