Ukraine will have the opportunity to develop as a united single state if the trust of citizens in state power is preserved. This was stated by the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov during his speech at the sitting of the Communities and Territories' Development Council
“The main legitimate tool of any government is trust. Trust from our citizens. Only if we can preserve it and not lose it, we will be able to move forward as a single state, regaining our territories, our people and defeating any enemy,” he said. The Speaker of the Parliament noted that in order to implement changes in the state and create a high-quality mechanism for its management, it is necessary to build partnerships both vertically and horizontally. “This will allow us to communicate, to effectively find solutions to the problems that exist every day,” he added.
Dmytro Razumkov reminded that the work of the Advisory
Council on Local Self-Government under the Verkhovna Rada was resumed last
year. He noted that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, its activities were not as
active as expected, and expressed hope that the work of the Council will
intensify.
