Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov and Speaker of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murniece discussed the possibilities of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation during the video conference.

“Despite the Coronavirus and all the problems we see in the world, our inter-parliamentary relations, as well as relations between states, continue to develop. Unfortunately, more often online.  However, friendship groups continue to work. I hope that soon the situation with the pandemic will allow us to move to the usual mechanism of work," said Dmitry Razumkov.

The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked Latvia for its stable position on Ukraine's territorial integrity.

"It is very important and valuable for us to see support not only at the bilateral level, but also at the level of various platforms where you play an important role. In particular, within the 'Baltic+' format, which is one of the effective mechanisms for defending democracy," he said.
