The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Migration" as a Basis

The Bill (Reg. No.2232) creates legal prerequisites for fighting illegal migration, improvement of migration processes administration, enhancement of legal responsibility for infringements in the said sector.   

 

Thus, pursuant to the Bill, foreigners and stateless persons who discredited the State of Ukraine by their actions, tarnished the honour of Ukrainian nation, are carriers of infectious or other dangerous disease or arrived from the country with especially complicated epidemiologic situation are prohibited to enter Ukraine.

 

The Committee members believe that adoption of the Bill will improve governmental migration policy, regulate migration flows, eliminate negative consequences of unorganized and uncontrolled migration, and strengthen national security of Ukraine.
