Mykola Tomenko: Love for Reading should be revived
Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Tomenko has visited today the Public Library in Kyiv named after Lesia Ukrainka and has met the Chairmen of Kyiv Libraries.
"The process of reading of the book is the extremely fascinating moment and extremely important for the intellectual development of a child", - he stressed.
Still, M. Tomenko stressed that there is lack of new interesting authors in modern Ukrainian literature.
For each library of Kyiv city, M. Tomenko presented brochures "7 Wonders of Ukraine" and "7 Nature Wonders of Ukraine", stressing that the aim of all his projects "is revealing of Ukraine to the world, Ukraine that we are pride of".
During the meeting Mykola Tomenko has also presented his new book "Ukrainian romantic Mykola Gogol".
