On 13-14 May, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, will make a working visit to the Russian Federation to take part in the 32nd Plenary Sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (St. Petersburg).

 

According to the schedule, on Wednesday, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will participate in the sitting of the CIS IPA Council and meet Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Council of Russia, and Boris Batura, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of Belarus.

 

On Thursday, V.Lytvyn will deliver a speech at the sitting of the CIS IPA.

 

On the same day the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will meet Sergey Mironov, Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Luis Maria de Puig, President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly.

 

V.Lytvyn is also expected to meet Valentina Matvienko, Governor of St.Petersburg.
