The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine needs to carefully study and finalize the Draft Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021, but there is enough time to finally adopt it by the New Year.
“As of today, we have enough time to finalize the Draft Law on the State Budget of Ukraine and not to go into the so-called ‘New Year's budget night’,” he said.
The Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine explained that the Cabinet of Ministers had delayed the submission of the draft Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021 to the Parliament. Dmytro Razumkov also added that the Verkhovna Rada has ten days to study and finalize the document.
“I see a rather constructive position of all factions. They work in the profile committee and in other committees. I hope that the mistakes we see in the budget will be corrected,” said the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Dmytro Razumkov noted that next week is not plenary, but parliamentary factions and groups have expressed readiness to convene an extraordinary meeting. If this does not happen, the Verkhovna Rada will be able to consider the State Budget for 2021 next plenary week.
According to the calendar plan, the next plenary week will take place on December 15-18.
