The author of the bill is Dmytro Razumkov, Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and People's Deputies – Representatives of the Parliamentary Factions. The main purpose of the draft law is to build an effective system of parliamentary control in Ukraine in order to ensure better implementation of laws and other acts of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Speaker of the Parliament noted that important laws for our state sometimes do not fully realize its potential in practice. He added that the bill No. 4131 proposes to resolve many issues related to the exercise of parliamentary control - in particular, the law will strengthen the control function of committees, increase the efficiency of parliamentary hearings and improve the content of reports of executive bodies. “The effectiveness of parliamentary control must be more strengthened,” said Dmytro Razumkov
