The draft law on local state administrations is aimed at updating the current Law of Ukraine “On Local State Administrations” and delimiting the powers of regional and district state administrations, establishment of a new organization of local state administrations and the procedure for appointment of their heads, determination of spheres of responsibility and directions of activity of local state administrations.
Members of the Working Group are MPs, representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, all-Ukrainian associations of local governments and experts. During the four meetings, they considered the conceptual positions of the draft new version of the Law on Local State Administrations and provided their suggestions and comments.
It is expected that the bill will be submitted to the Parliament in the near future.
