The Committee on Science and Education has held the Joint Sitting with the Consultative Council on Informatization

The Participants have discussed the preparation
to the parliamentary hearings on "Strategies of Innovation Development of Ukraine
for the years 2010-2010 under the Globalizing Challenges", that are planed on
the 17th of June 2009.
The Chairman of the Committee, Volodymyr Polokhalo stressed that "the Government of Ukraine determined the innovation development of the country as the prior".
The Chairman of the Committee chose two strategic tasks in the mentioned direction: "competitiveness of Ukraine in the sphere of innovation of IT Technologies and implementation of those technologies".
The Speakers stressed the fact, that for today we have extremely branched national innovation system. Still, it was stressed during the meeting that "a great number of normative and legislative acts are contradictory or incapacitated".
The Chairman of the Consulting Council, academician of the National Academy of Science in Ukraine, M. Zgurovskyi is authorized with the preparation and summering of the recommendations concerning the Parliamentary Hearings, preparation of the corresponding informational and analytical materials etc.
Moreover, during the Meeting the Bill of the Law on Amendments to the Law "On National Program on Informatization" (Reg.№2698) was scrutinized. The members of the committee declared that the aim of the Bill "is an improvement of the legislative regulation of the social Relations in the Sphere of forming, implementation of the National Program on Informatization".
During the meeting, the information
on the activity of the Regional centre on development of e-government in
Autonomous Republic of Crimea as pilot project, also the perspectives of the e-parliament
were scrutinized.
