Today we honor the memory of the Babyn Yar tragedy victims. Innocent lives were cut short by the criminal and ruthless actions of the Nazi regime. The scale of this disaster is still a pain not only for Ukraine, but also for the whole world.
No matter how many years have passed since those terrible events, we must not forget the causes and irreparable consequences of this tragedy. Genocide is the worst crime against humanity, so we must do everything possible to never let history repeat. Only with the memory of these terrible pages of history will we be able to build a secure future for our children.
A modern, democratic and strong Ukraine remembers the hard lessons of the past and does not recognize any manifestations of intolerance. I am convinced that only by uniting around important issues, preserving human life as the highest value and rejecting the differences that artificially divide us, we will be able to create a successful and prosperous state.
