Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, deems necessary that Ukraine consciously fulfills its commitments concerning provision of its security on the part of the Budapest Memorandum participating States.  

 

"It is an urgent requirement. Ukraine has to guarantee its security", - stated V.Lytvyn on Wednesday.

 

V.Lytvyn also stressed that Ukraine fulfilled its commitments concerning the closure of Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station; however, "other High Contracting Parties either fail to observe its commitments, or fulfill it partially".
