According to the agreement between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the 22nd EU-Ukraine Summit will be held in Brussels on October 6. “The Parliament should receive full information on the preparation of the Ukrainian delegation for the EU-Ukraine Summit,” stressed Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk during the meeting of the Conciliation Council of parliamentary factions and groups.

According to the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada should also express its position on the expected results of the Ukrainian side's activities in Brussels. It is important that Ukraine's European aspirations be reaffirmed during the Summit. Ukraine's desire to revise some annexes to the Association Agreement on sectoral cooperation next year should be noted,” Olena Kondratiuk said.

She is convinced that Ukraine must reaffirm its commitment to deepen security and defense cooperation with the European Union. It is also necessary to maintain sanctions against the Russian Federation until the full restoration of our territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament noted.

Olena Kondratiuk addressed the relevant Committees on Foreign Affairs and European Integration with a request to inform the Verkhovna Rada on the preparations for the EU-Ukraine Summit.
