The participants of the round table discussion debated three Bills appertaining to the enhancement of effective legislation in the field of legal regulation of responsibility for minor thefts.
V.Malyshev presented the Bill on Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements (re Qualification of Crimes and Infringements) drafted to the Second Reading. The suggested amendments delineate criminal and administrative responsibility for the theft of alien property.
People´s Deputy Serhiy Mishchenko presented the Bill that introduced amendments to enhance the responsibility for encroachment upon property.
People´s Deputy Oleh Zarubinsky presented the motions to the Codes of Ukraine that created conditions necessary to enhance efficiency of activity of the law enforcement system.
According to the Committee members, as the Bill on Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements (re Qualification of Crimes and Infringements) is being drafted for the Second Reading, and the Bills presented by the People´s Deputies are actually alternative to it, the latter should be returned to their authors.
The Committee approved the guidelines of the round table discussion, complied with the text of the comparative table, and recommended that The Verkhovna Rada adopted the Bill at the Second Reading and in its entirety as a Law.
