The Speaker of the Parliament called for the intensification of cooperation at the level of the parliaments of both countries. “The coronavirus pandemic has made its adjustments, but I hope that cooperation between the leaders of parliaments and parliamentary friendship groups will be restored in the near future,” he said.
According to the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada, due to significant changes in the regime of economic cooperation related to the fight against COVID-19, states are more focused on the development of national economies. At the same time, Dmytro Razumkov called for the continuation of joint investment projects that will benefit both countries.
In turn, Ekaterina Zaharieva stressed Bulgaria's unwavering position on preserving the territorial integrity of Ukraine and supporting the state's European integration aspirations. She also thanked the Ukrainian Parliament for maintaining and expanding the boundaries of the Bolgrad district during the administrative reform.
