In the Address it is recommended that the President of Ukraine cancelled the above-mentioned Decree, as it actually performed "contradictory and groundless reforming of academic legal science, with the Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine as a State branch academy being the center of it for the last 16 years".
The Committee upholds the Draft Resolution (Reg. No.4160), as the said Decree provoked "concern on the part of the scientific community, representatives of different political forces, public organizations, public authority and local self-government bodies due to its violation of the Constitution and Ukrainian legislation".
