“Ukraine ought to become competitive in the market of medical services,” – Dmytro Razumkov, Speaker
Together with representatives of the Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Razumkov, visited the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (MHU).
The speaker of parliament inspected several important departments of the institute and talked to patients who had had heart transplantation in Ukraine.
Dmytro Razumkov noted that it is vitally necessary to keep on changing legislation in force aiming to allow Ukraine to become competitive in the market of medical services. The Chairman also drew close attention to the pressing issue of salaries for health workers, which seems to be rather complicated, specifically as things stand today.
At the end of his visit, Dmytro Razumkov thanked the staff of the institute for their dedication and enthusiasm. “You have come a long way and you got a lot of achievements, but I am sure you will not repose on your laurels. I wish the institute further success as it truly defines how many people you will save, how many of them will return to their families and for how long they will be with their loved ones," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stated.
