On Wednesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, had a working dinner with the leaders of diplomatic missions of the EU member-countries.
According to V.Lytvyn, the participants of the meeting discussed political situation in Ukraine.
The diplomats were concerned with the possibility of adopting amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, holding simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections, and guarantee that such actions comply with the Fundamental Law.
The participants also dwelled upon coordination of national election legislation with recommendations of the Venetian Commission and Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly.
