At its sitting, the committee viewed the bill No.2110 “On electronic public registers”. The bill aims to build out an integrated interoperable system of public electronic registers that is to cover a diversity of most important state registers and databases – containing data on demographics, legal companies, property, state land and many other areas; to frame, unify, regulate and administer its full life-cycle functioning including the formation and use of its information product in the course of licencing/permitting and other administrative activities, public service delivery, etc. The committee’s recommendation is taking the bill on the second reading as law.
The body also supported the setting up of two new subcommittees – the Subcommittee on Electronic Democracy and the Subcommittee on Digital Rights and Competencies.
