“A national referendum bill, designated to be exigent, will surely be considered this week,” -- Dmytro Razumkov
During today’s sitting of the Conciliation Commission, the speaker noted that the Verkhovna Rada, in accordance with Article 19 of the Rules of Procedure, should consider this week the plan of legislative work.
"We should have taken it at the beginning of our work, but all this coronavirus muddle has changed our work drastically. So, those issues that will not be gotten through during the year, will automatically be put off for the year to come," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada explained.
In addition, Dmytro Razumkov noted that this week’s agenda has another important initiative - the bill on the rule of people through an all-Ukrainian referendum. "The legislative draft was initiated by the President and defined as urgent. So I think that on Tuesday we will consider reducing the deadlines, and on Thursday we will probably move to viewing it on the first reading," he then clarified.
Among other important bills of the week, the speaker named to be the initiative to assist the creative industries, personnel issues and the revised action programme of the ministers.
"I do hope that the ongoing plenary week will be very fruitful and productive, and the Verkhovna Rada will work for the benefit of the state," Dmytro Razumkov underlined.
