A sitting of the Conciliative Council under the chairmanship of Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, was held on Thursday to discuss a number of issues concerning further activity of the Parliament.

 

The participants of the Conciliative Council passed a unanimous resolution to scrutinize the anti-recessionary program submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the plenary meeting on 14 April.  

 

Leaders of the Factions also scrutinized and endorsed the agenda of the extra plenary meeting of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine scheduled for 6 April.

 

On Monday, the Parliament may scrutinize a number of Bills qualified as urgent by the President of Ukraine.

 

In the beginning of the meeting, the Parliament will scrutinize the appeal of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Congress of the United States of America regarding completion of utilization of solid propellant and realization of all actions aimed at liquidation of nuclear weapon in Ukraine in compliance with the Agreement between Ukraine and the United States of 25 October 2003. 

 

Hans-Gert Pöttering, President of the European Parliament, will also deliver a speech before the Parliament members.
