The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill "On Associations of Local Self-Government Bodies" at the Second Reading and in its Entirety

The Bill (Reg. No.2477) defines legal principles of organization and activity of the associations of local self-government bodies and their voluntary societies.

 

While elaborating the Bill for the repeated Second Reading, the Committee members received 188 amendments from the subjects of legislative initiative.

 

The Committee members upheld the majority of amendments. Thus, pursuant to one of the amendments, "associations are considered as national in case they unite more than a half of the local self-government bodies of relevant territorial levels".   

 

Pursuant to the Bill, national associations shall annually submit information concerning their members to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
